Standard Textile Makes an Impact in Record-Breaking United Way Campaign

United Way 2015October 30, 2015 — Standard Textile is proud to be a part of the United Way of Greater Cincinnati’s record-breaking 2015 campaign. This week, United Way of Greater Cincinnati announced a major accomplishment in its Centennial year, raising $62,000,053 and growing the campaign by $1 million for the first time since 2007.

Standard Textile associates came together to make an impact and increased donations by 13% over the amount raised in 2014. Activities taking place at Standard Textile’s World Headquarters during the campaign included:

  • United Way 2015 - Gary HeimanA kick-off event featuring children from The Signing Choir at St. Rita School for the Deaf, an organization that relies on United Way to fund its Language Opportunities for Tots program.
  • A special presentation on Leadership Giving.
  • A “Giving Thanks” luncheon for associates who met a special giving incentive.
  • An informal meeting for new associates, who had an opportunity to meet with President and CEO Gary Heiman to discuss Standard Textile’s deep commitment to helping others succeed.
  • A special information session for associates age 22 to 30 about United Way’s LINC (Lead. Impact. Network. Change) group, which hosts special volunteer and social networking opportunities throughout the year.
  • On-site volunteer opportunities, where associates could stop in to assist with projects for Pro Seniors and local emergency assistance centers.

United Way of Greater Cincinnati invests the money raised from the annual campaign in more than 280 programs, initiatives and community change efforts. The campaign is a fundraising partnership of United Way of Greater Cincinnati and the Greater Cincinnati-Dayton Region of the American Red Cross. Standard Textile has been participating in a workplace United Way campaign for many years.
