Michael Johnson and Gary HeimanCINCINNATI, Ohio (8/22/18) – Standard Textile kicked off its 2018 United Way Campaign this week by welcoming Michael Johnson, president and CEO of United Way of Greater Cincinnati, to Standard Textile’s world headquarters. Gary Heiman, Standard Textile’s president and CEO, and Kim Heiman, Managing Director, are leading the 2018 community campaign for United Way of Greater Cincinnati, mobilizing thousands of donors across the Tri-State.

“Taking on this role for United Way was important to us, because as part of an immigrant family, the Cincinnati area has welcomed us, and we are deeply connected to this community. Today, our business employs many people here, across the country, and throughout the world,” said Gary Heiman, “and it’s an honor to give back.”

Gary HeimanUnited Way of Greater Cincinnati is the sixth-largest United Way in the country, and annually improves the lives of more than 360,000 people across 10 counties in Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana. Each year more than 90,000 people help create lasting community change by participating as donors to the annual United Way Campaign. In 2017, the annual campaign raised over $60 million.

“We have a bold agenda to help give a hand-up to people who are trying to lift themselves out of poverty,” said Michael Johnson, “and we are so grateful for the support of Kim, Gary and the Standard Textile family.”

Standard Textile’s 2018 company campaign is called: We all succeed together.

“This not only speaks to our belief in each other, it speaks to our belief in the success of the most vulnerable. And it speaks to our belief that we can make a greater impact in the lives of others, together, than we can alone,” said Kim Heiman.
