At Standard Textile, giving back is one way we live our purpose of Inspiring Care and Comfort for Generations. Through financial and product donations, we help support communities near and far. But behind every donation is a team of people working quietly, helping to turn care into action. One of those people is Tina Barbash, who helps things come together behind the scenes.
What do you think community giving represents for Standard Textile?
“To me, it shows that care is not just something we talk about, it’s something we actually do. It shapes how we show up in our communities, how we support our customers, and even how our associates feel about the work they do here. It’s gratifying to work for a company with a strong philanthropic mindset.”
What is your role in supporting Standard Textile’s community giving?
“First, it’s very much a team effort, I just help connect the pieces. That includes managing requests, coordinating with teams, and helping move approved donations through the process so they reach the organizations and people who need them.”
When do you most clearly see the impact of this work?
“I often hear back from organizations about how donations are used, and those messages mean the most to me. Recently, a community group in Kentucky shared they packed 1,504 shoeboxes for children in need around the world using washcloths we donated. It’s a powerful reminder of how much impact small acts can have.”
Our giving reflects who we are as a company. Supporting that work, quietly and consistently, is one more way our teams live what it means to be Experts Who Care.
