An article in the January/February 2025 issue of Healthcare Design highlights Newton High-Speed Lite-Lift® solar shades, a game-changing solution in window treatments for healthcare environments.
Amanda McClure, Senior Product Manager for the Interiors Group at Standard Textile, and Gilles Dumoulin, CEO of Altex, contributed to the Q&A, discussing how Newton’s innovative, chain-free design enhances safety, simplifies maintenance, and improves user experience.
“Motorized shades aren’t always feasible, so we needed a safe, practical, and visually appealing alternative,” McClure shared. “Newton meets stringent safety standards with a chain-free solution that’s easy to operate.”
Newton was awarded Best of Innovation at the 2024 Nightingale Awards, earning praise for addressing a long-standing industry challenge while balancing functionality, aesthetics, and safety in healthcare spaces.
