CINCINNATI, OH (July 28, 2020) – Standard Textile, a leading global innovator, manufacturer and distributor of healthcare, hospitality and consumer products headquartered in Cincinnati, donated much-needed home bath and bedding products to residents at Cincinnati Union Bethel’s Cincinnati Scholar House (CSH), a life-changing bridge empowering young families and children to succeed in education and achieve life-long self-sufficiency.
Cincinnati Scholar House offers 44 (two- and three-bedroom) affordable rental units for single-parent college students and their children. They also provide an onsite 5-Star rated child development center for children from 6 weeks to school-age while the parent is in school.
“We are inspired by the mission of Cincinnati Scholar House as well as the residents who aspire to create a better future for their families. It’s incredibly challenging for a single parent to manage childcare, work, and school. The support Cincinnati Scholar House is providing allows dreams to come true for families and creates meaningful change in our community,” said Kim Heiman, Standard Textile’s Managing Director.
“We are so grateful to partners like Standard Textile, whose thoughtful contributions will enhance the Cincinnati Scholar House learning and living experience for all our residents,” said Beth Schwartz, CEO, Cincinnati Union Bethel. “This type of support is so meaningful to our scholar-residents, many of whom have previously experienced housing insecurity or even homelessness, and makes their long-term success possible.”
Informed by the company’s 80-year history of innovation and service, family-owned Standard Textile leads by its purpose of inspiring care, comfort, and change in our communities.
