As a partner of MedShare, Standard Textile recently donated receiving blankets to be used in MedShare’s Clean Birthing Kits. The Kits are an initiative of MedShare’s Maternal & Child Health Program, which focuses on the health of women and children as a vital way to create a healthy world. The program intends to improve the quality of healthcare for mothers and children in medically underserved countries, thereby reducing the number of preventable deaths associated with childbirth.
The receiving blankets are a critical item in each Clean Birthing Kit, providing warmth and contributing to temperature regulation for newborn children. Standard Textile’s blankets will be utilized in kits shipping around the world by the end of October.
