​Introducing AMY​™

The story of AMY™ began when a dedicated team of designers, engineers, product managers, and marketers came together with a shared mission: to revolutionize the use of privacy curtains in healthcare settings. Through extensive observations and interviews with clinicians, environmental services personnel, infection prevention specialists, and other stakeholders, the team gained a profound understanding of the unique challenges faced in these environments.​

​One pivotal question emerged: “How do we create a privacy curtain that is easier and faster to change out for laundering?“​

​Amy Luttrell, a seasoned designer at Standard Textile, led the charge with a human-centered design approach aimed at drastically simplifying the curtain management and reuse process. The result was AMY™, the industry’s first all-fabric privacy curtain.

This innovative product transforms the work of Environmental Services (EVS) teams by significantly streamlining the install, change-out, and laundering process. As a result, EVS teams have more time to focus on maintaining safe and hygienic healthcare facilities, enhancing the healing and recovery environment for everyone.​

The name AMY™ was chosen to reflect the personal connection between its designer and our customers. It honors Standard Textile’s dedication to innovation and to the customer needs that were the driving force behind creating this groundbreaking privacy curtain solution.

Inventory Management Available 

AMY™ Privacy Curtains can be paired with our CubeControl^® Curtain Management App. Curtains can be quickly scanned to improve inventory management, confirm compliance with facility cleaning frequency policy, and promote a cleaner environment for patients and staff. Each curtain will include a CubeControl^® label that indicates curtain size and room location to save time when reinstalling after cleaning.
