Throughout October, we celebrate Manufacturing Month and the associates driving our operations, transforming materials into products that deliver lasting quality for our customers.
Among them is Nicole Dotson, Plant Manager of our Thomaston, Georgia facility. Since joining Standard Textile, she has built deep experience across multiple areas of manufacturing and continues to embrace the company’s culture of growth and continuous improvement.
How have the different roles you’ve held across Standard Textile operations shaped your perspective and the way you lead today?
“I’ve had the opportunity to work in many areas of manufacturing, from inspector and tenter operator at our Union facility to roles in terry production, quality, and weaving in Thomaston. Each position taught me something new about our products, our processes, and our people. Those experiences gave me a cross-functional skill set and a deep appreciation for the teamwork it takes to succeed. Together, we’ve built a strong team that strives for excellence and is committed to shared success.”
How does your role as plant manager help deliver quality and comfort to our customers?
“Each day, I work to ensure our production runs efficiently and meets the highest quality standards. That means collaborating across teams, addressing challenges quickly, and making sure we consistently deliver the products our customers count on.”
What makes you most proud to work in manufacturing at Standard Textile, and what excites you about the future?
“I’m proud to work for a company that’s committed to sustainability, continuous innovation, and producing high quality products. I’m excited about the investments we’re making in automation and advanced technology, and the strong focus on responsible environmental practices that guide how we grow.”
Nicole’s story reflects the heart of manufacturing at Standard Textile: a commitment to quality, teamwork, and continuous improvement. During Manufacturing Month, we’re proud to recognize Nicole and all our manufacturing associates whose skill and dedication show what it means to be Experts Who Care.
