Color Alert® is an exciting monthly feature from Color Marketing Group® (CMG), illuminating one color each month from CMG’s World Color Forecast™ and validating color predictions in the market.
Representing the evolution of life cycles from birth through youth, adulthood, and finally mature years, Transformacion, a deep hue that is red with an influence of blue.
Transformacion was considered during Color Marketing Group Latin America meetings in 2018, to emerge in 2020, and is the color of evolution and life. The profundity of life, of caring for others, and realizing a bold future is perfectly represented in Transformacion. The depth of the color is welcoming and warming, the subtle color play between red and blue is contemplative, and the name, well, it is fitting for the times.
Standard Textile fabrics featured: 1) Chesapeake in Lilac, 2) Venice in Eggplant, and 3) Othello in Thistle
Appearing in superb fabrics such as wool, velvet, cashmere, and flannel, Transformacion will deliver a visually tactile experience. The color has the ability to maintain a sense of self, coursing through generations and genders, and offers an interesting color journey no matter the fabric.
Transformacion advocates the deep red of a hearth fire, or the closeness of bricks and mortar, indicating a hue that expresses the root of home as a safe sanctuary. Whether used in upholstery textiles, influencing flooring choices, or decorating a front door, Transformacion adds a lively splash of color to interior and exteriors of homes.
Standard Textile fabrics featured: 1) Custom Top of Bed, 2) Brady in Aubergine, 3) Party Line in Smokey Amethyst, 4) Cambridge in Thistle, and 5) Mimosa in Dusky
At Standard Textile, we’re seeing requests for deep purple colors that add warmth to environments for both hospitality and healthcare. In hospitality, customers are pairing this deep purple with muted neutrals or pops of jewel tones to create a lively atmosphere. Incorporating bold, textural fabrics for furnishings and drapery are just a few ways our customers are transitioning to this color for their spaces.
Pairing Transformacion with orange, red, and mustard create energy and invigorating feel to any space. Combined with various finishes and materials such as velvet, leather, and tweed add texture, dimension, and depth to guest rooms and lobbies. In healthcare, we’re seeing darker purples paired with shades of gray, which creates a warmth and comforting palette for privacy curtains and upholstery.
